Located on the 400-acre Farncombe Estate in the Cotswolds, Dormy House is a former working farm turned award-winning boutique hotel. It comprises 38 rooms and suites, two restaurants, three lounges and a world-class spa, fusing the best of quintessential countryside living with a dash of Scandinavian style.
It’s delightfully cosy interiors epitomise hygge comfort and feature panelled beams, flagstone flooring, Cotswold stone and open log fires. The individually-styled bedrooms span the main farmhouse, adjoining Danish Court and standalone Rose Cottage and range from intimate snugs to spacious suites, equipped with roll-top bathtubs, four-poster beds and private hot tubs.
The hotel’s gastronomic offering is equally as varied thanks to two on-site restaurants from Head Chef Sam Bowser and Culinary Director Martin Burge. The Potting Shed offers rustic country dining at its finest with a menu of delectable seasonal classics, whilst the sleek, light-filled Garden Room is a more refined affair with a brand new five and seven-course tasting menu filled with ingenious flavour combinations.
Dormy’s House Spa is a favourite of guests and locals alike for good reason, with a serene pool, terrace hot tub, Scandi-style thermal suite, mud room, nail bar and gym. It offers a host of indoor/outdoor therapies with products from Temple Spa and Natura Bissé, as well in addition to several specialist treatments.
A meeting room with state-of-the-art tech and space for 14, beautiful gardens and capacity for up to 80 cars provide facilities for a range of other requirements including business meetings, group getaways and exclusive-use weddings. These are complemented by a selection of onsite group activities including Segway safaris, obstacle courses, treasure hunts, soap-box derbies, movie-making, competitive cookery and its own Crystal Maze experience.
