Mindfulness in the Maldives: de-stress at Gili Lankanfushi

It’s no secret that as a generation, we’re more anxious than ever; political uncertainty, the rise of social media and the pressure of the daily grind have led to heightened stress levels in us all. Whilst a holiday should be the perfect way to switch off, often our stresses have a way of following us across the globe, no matter how hard we try to leave them at the security gate. That’s why this year, Gili Lankanfushi has teamed up with four experts in holistic healing, helping their guests to feel calmer, at peace and equipped with a take-home toolkit to help them deal with their everyday worries.

From 10 – 18 April, breath coach and founder of Breathing Tree Rebecca Dennis will take up residency on the island, offering in-depth conscious breathing workshops. Trained in the cutting edge breath technique Transformational Breath, Rebecca’s sessions will harness the power of conscious breathing to unblock emotions and release tension, specifically aimed at those who have stress, anxiety, addiction and sleep issues. Take-home advice cards will be available in all rooms, meaning guests can continue to use breathwork to combat stresses, even once they’ve left the island.
