The St. Moritz Celebrity Golf Cup returns

The St. Moritz Celebrity Golf Cup in support of the Ryder Cup European Development Trust relaunches for June 2022

 This summer the highly anticipated St. Moritz Celebrity Golf Cup returns in support of the Ryder Cup European Development Trust, in the heart of Swiss alpine settings and mountain vistas. The social sporting event of the season will take place from the 26th-28th June 2022, featuring a line-up of notable names from the sports, film and entertainment industry taking part.

This year, the event will close with a celebratory black-tie gala and auction at the renowned Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, of which all donations will go towards the Golfers for Ukraine initiative and the foundation of the boxing professional Wladimir Klitschko. The 46-year-old Ukrainian himself played in the Monaco edition of the tournament last year and will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the gala.

The golfing enthusiasts among us an delight as the celebrity USA and European team will compete against one another at Switzerland’s oldest and most prestigious golf club; Engadine Golf Club.  With the likes of former Scottish rugby player Tom Evans, former Manchester United football professional goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, and Argentinian soccer icon Gabriel Batistuta, it is set to be suspense filled game. Players of team USA include former American football wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who is considered by many to be one of the greatest receivers in NFL history. Joining him is New York Yankees World Series Baseball Champion, Reggie Jackson and Canadian ice hockey player Joe Thornton for an occasion of unforgettable moments.

After a hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, the tournament is set to enthral and excite once more.
