VESTIGE COLLECTION MARKS FIRST STEP IN GLOBAL EXPANSON WITH VESTIGE XAUDUM, NAMIBIA – OPENING MARCH 2027

Reservations are now open for Vestige Xaudum, welcoming guests from 15 March 2027. Set within Khaudum National Park in northern Namibia, the six-suite lodge marks an exciting new chapter for Vestige Collection as its first property outside Spain and the first of four lodges that will eventually form a new Vestige circuit.

Perched on a Kalahari sand dune overlooking an ancient fossil riverbed, Vestige Xaudum will be the only lodge within Khaudum National Park, one of Africa’s least-visited wilderness areas. Part of the vast Kavango–Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), the park allows wildlife to move freely between Khaudum and neighbouring Botswana, home to migratory elephant herds, endangered African wild dogs, lion, leopard, cheetah, roan antelope and more than 300 species of bird.

Bold Design in the Kalahari

Vestige Estudio, the collection’s in-house design studio, is behind the lodge’s architecture and interiors, substantially redesigning and enlarging the existing suites and creating an entirely new main lodge. Bold, sculptural architecture frames views across the ancient riverbed, while natural materials and colours draw from the Kalahari landscape. Local craftsmanship also plays an important role: thatch has been sourced from local villages, while much of the construction has been undertaken by skilled local craftspeople.

With just six suites, the lodge has been designed around space and privacy. Five one-bedroom suites offer generous indoor and outdoor living, while a two-bedroom suite features four private decks and its own plunge pool. At the heart of the lodge, riverbed-facing spaces for dining, alongside a spa, open-air fitness deck and swimming pool overlooking the wilderness.

Food will be rooted in Namibia, with fire at the heart of the dining experience, from dishes prepared over the traditional spit-braai to six-course dinners combining individually plated dishes with a generous family-style main course. Guests can choose to dine privately or together, inside or out on the lodge’s decks.

Safari at Nature’s Pace

Rather than following a fixed safari formula, private guides and specialist vehicles will give you the freedom to respond to what is happening in the bush each day. Game drives will be complemented by bush breakfasts, guided walks outside the National Park and stargazing, offering further ways to experience northern Namibia. With few other vehicles, almost no artificial light and vast expanses of wilderness, the experience is ultimately about having the time and space to experience Khaudum without distraction.

Conservation, Community & Connection

Most of the Vestige Xaudum team has been recruited from the neighbouring Muduva Nyangana and George Mukoya Conservancies. Vestige Namibia will also work alongside Namibia’s Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, park management and neighbouring conservancies to support locally identified conservation priorities. Designed to operate with a light footprint in its remote setting, the lodge will also use an on-site solar energy system with battery storage and carefully managed borehole water.

The First Chapter of Vestige Namibia

Vestige Xaudum is the first of four lodges that will create a new journey through northern Namibia, followed by Vestige Sorris Sorris, Vestige Omatendeka and Vestige Sheya Shuushona. Each will offer a different way to experience the country’s landscapes, people and wildlife, with individual architecture responding to its setting and the highly personal approach to hospitality that sits at the heart of Vestige Collection.

Rates at Vestige Xaudum start from €1,600 per person per night on an inclusive basis, covering all meals, safari experiences and a varied range of wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. For further information or to book, please email reservations-namibia@vestigecollection.com / +264 8112 86963
