Strategic collaboration connects patients with leading US board-certified specialists for independent medical second opinions, strengthening tulåh’s vision for globally connected, personalised healthcare
London | November 2026 – tulåh, the pioneering clinical wellness sanctuary in northern Kerala, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Apex Opinion™, a US-based medical second-opinion platform, to bring independent medical expertise from leading US specialists closer to patients in India. The partnership will provide access to independent reviews from US board-certified specialists without the need for international travel, further strengthening tulåh’s vision of an integrated healthcare ecosystem that bridges advanced medical science with personalised, preventative and traditional healing. The service is expected to become available to patients in India from November 2026, subject to operational readiness and applicable requirements.

A world of expertise, closer to home
At the heart of the collaboration is a shared belief that access to specialist medical knowledge should not be limited by geography. Through Apex Opinion’s technology platform and network of US board-certified specialists, tulåh guests and eligible patients across India will be able to seek independent medical perspectives when navigating complex diagnoses, significant health conditions and important treatment decisions.
Specialist reviews will span a range of disciplines, including cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, neurology, nephrology, endocrinology and pathology. Where appropriate, cases may also be considered by multidisciplinary expert panels, including Heart Teams and Tumour Boards, bringing together different areas of expertise to offer a more comprehensive perspective. Patients will be able to submit their existing medical records for independent review, with a written expert opinion generally targeted within seven working days of receiving complete documentation. Where appropriate, a video consultation with the reviewing specialist may also be arranged.
Designed to complement, rather than replace, existing medical care, the service allows patients to access an additional specialist perspective while continuing their treatment and follow-up with their own medical team. Responsibility for all clinical decisions and ongoing care remains with the treating physician.
Independent expertise, founded on clinical experience
Apex Opinion was established by Dr Saurabh Sanon in response to a gap he repeatedly witnessed in healthcare: patients facing life-changing medical decisions often lacked an accessible and structured way to obtain an independent opinion from a leading US specialist.
A structural interventional cardiologist who completed dual fellowships at Mayo Clinic, Dr Sanon has built a network of US board-certified specialists trained at leading medical institutions. Through Apex Opinion, this expertise is made accessible remotely, helping patients and their treating physicians consider additional clinical perspectives before making important decisions about their health. The collaboration brings this international network into tulåh’s wider clinical ecosystem, creating another avenue through which patients can access specialist knowledge and make more informed choices about their care.
Strengthening an integrated approach to healthcare
Set across 30 acres of medicinal gardens and rewilded forests in Kozhikode, Kerala, tulåh brings together advanced diagnostics, multidisciplinary clinical assessments, personalised therapeutic interventions, rehabilitation, Ayurveda, clinical yoga, nutrition and lifestyle medicine within a single integrated environment. The partnership with Apex Opinion extends this philosophy beyond the sanctuary itself, connecting patients with international medical expertise while strengthening the continuity of their existing care. It also reflects the wider ambitions of KEF Holdings to develop a globally connected healthcare ecosystem in which technology, medical innovation and patient-centred clinical practice work together to broaden access to specialist knowledge.

A shared vision for the future of healthcare
For Mr Faizal E. Kottikollon, the collaboration represents a further step in his vision of bringing together the scientific and the holistic to create a more considered approach to health and wellbeing.
“At tulåh, our vision has always been to bring together the best of modern medicine and India’s traditional healing wisdom to create a truly integrated approach to health and wellbeing. Our collaboration with Apex Opinion is another step towards making global medical expertise accessible to people in India. We believe that patients should have access to the best possible medical perspectives when making important decisions about their health, irrespective of geographical boundaries.”
For Dr Saurabh Sanon, the partnership is equally personal. “No patient should have to travel across the world to obtain an independent specialist perspective on a major medical decision. Through our collaboration with tulåh, we hope to make expert US medical opinions more accessible to patients in India, while ensuring that their ongoing care remains with their own treating physicians.”
He continues: “Patients facing major medical decisions frequently ask who can give them one more expert view before they commit. Apex Opinion exists to answer that question. At its heart, it is about giving back to our roots: bringing global medical expertise closer to home and turning access to knowledge into hope for more lives. Mr Kottikollon and his team have built something rare at tulåh, and we are proud to begin our work in India alongside them.”
Together, tulåh and Apex Opinion aim to demonstrate how international clinical collaboration and technology-enabled healthcare can make specialist expertise more accessible, supporting patients through some of their most important health decisions without losing the continuity and personal connection of care closer to home.
