Boasting a prime spot in the city centre, Beaverbrook Town House is the perfect London base if you are looking to embrace the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The Great British Royal Experience
With the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bringing the nation together, there’s no better place to embrace the atmosphere than in the heart of the city. Just a stone’s throw from the best of London’s attractions, the team at Beaverbrook Town House are ready to plan regal inspired itineraries from intimate tours of The Tower of London, to meet and greets with a beefeater and more. And of course, no London visit would be complete without a trip to Buckingham Palace, soaking up the grandeur of the stately home and experience the changing of the guards.
For one night only, on the 4th June, have the chance to experience an evening at the Tower of London, organised via the Beaverbrook Town House Host Team. A priceless opportunity to be welcomed into the Tower of London for the evening for an exclusive viewing of the Crown Jewels and a private tour of the Tower Grounds, all whilst sipping on champagne. And for something truly magical, opt to elevate your evening with a private, exquisite dinner in the walls of the Tower, making it an unforgettable night!
Further afield, why not let the Beaverbrook Town House team organise a ride in their branded Aston Martin DBX out to Windsor Castle to explore the house and the grounds, before stopping by Beaverbrook Estate nestled in amongst the Surrey Hills for a spot of lunch and a cocktail or two.
Upon return to the Chelsea townhouse, round off your royal experience with tea and cake in Sir Frank’s Bar. Created in house by the hotel’s very own Pastry Chef, expect Great British sweet treats and a good old English cup of tea.
The Great British Zaza Cocktail
Inspired by the Queen herself, this exclusive Jubilee cocktail is designed to impress! The cocktail features a Beaverbrook crafted gin, from Beaverbrook Town House’s sister property in Surrey, and is combined with Dubonnet Vermouth and house-made grapefruit and Beaverbrook honey cordial, before being shaken and poured over ice.
Imitating the Queen Mother’s and the Queen’s favourite cocktail, guests will really feel like royalty as they sip on this regal inspired tipple, in the decadent setting of Sir Frank’s Bar.
The Great British Picnic … with a Japanese twist!
Embrace the Great British summer in Chelsea with a quintessential picnic in the exclusive Cadogan Gardens. Hosts at Beaverbrook Town House will supply you with a key for the gardens, as well as the essentials for a perfect picnic: blanket, hamper, bubbles and beautiful Japanese dishes to enjoy as they relax in a serene pocket of nature within the city.
Just a couple of minutes from Beaverbrook Town House, Cadogan Gardens is the perfect spot for you and your kids alike: be it a swing in the playground or a meander through the park to admire the statues and monuments, spend a couple of hours exploring the gardens before tucking into a sumptuous picnic of Japanese delights, along with a Beaverbrook branded cocktail or two. The afternoon calls for a game of tennis with equipment supplied by the Host Team, or simply laying back to embrace the calm surrounds: the perfect end to a quintessential picnic experience in Chelsea.
The Great British Sporting Summer
Rackets at the ready… Nothing says British summer quite like Wimbledon season and there’s no better place than Chelsea for resident fans to base themselves for a game or two. Hosts at Beaverbrook Town House can arrange exclusive access tickets if you are looking to spend an afternoon at the courts, accompanied by strawberries, cream and champagne of course, as well as transport to and from the venue. And for those who are keen to play a game themselves, the key to Cadogan Garden is on hand, giving you access to the private tennis courts for an active afternoon in the sunshine.
If you are looking for sporting excitement elsewhere will have easy access to Royal Ascot from the Sloane Street townhouse, via private transfer, and Lord’s Cricket ground is even closer, meaning you can enjoy a full day at the cricket, with tickets organised through the Town House team, before retiring to The Japanese Grill to celebrate a win!
The Great British Summer Holiday
Whilst the hustle and bustle of thriving London is not one to miss, there’s no doubt that the quintessentially British countryside is equally as attractive. Make the most of both of England’s iconic landscapes this summer, with a multiple night stay across Beaverbrook Town House and Beaverbrook Estate in Surrey, with the City to Silence package. Maybe London is calling for the first night, in which case a private Aston Martin DBX transfer will be waiting to whisk you down to the countryside the following day: or it could be that the Beaverbrook journey starts in the rolling Surrey Hills, before you take a self-driven adventure ride in Beaverbrook’s Union Jack themed, electric Moke car up towards the city lights for their second night.
Chelsea in Bloom
Perfectly suited to the character of Beaverbrook Town House, the theme for this year’s Chelsea in Bloom festival, ‘British Icons’, draws inspiration from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and offers the chance for Chelsea to celebrate all that makes us Great Britain.
With British icons weaved through the walls of the Georgian townhouse hotel, from Lord Beaverbrook himself, to famous theatres and London inspired artwork, Chelsea’s prestigious floral celebration provides the perfect opportunity for Beaverbrook Town House to display the heart of its brand through an exciting installation.
Take the chance to admire impressive floral artwork on the steps of Beaverbrook Town House from May 23rd right through to the much-anticipated Jubilee bank holiday weekend. On top of this, you need not look any further than Beaverbrook Town House’s Host Team to arrange tickets and access to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, just a fifteen-minute walk from the hotel, continuing the London floral celebrations.
London Craft Week
Beaverbrook Town House’s summer celebrations start with an exclusive event in The Butterfly Room as part of London Craft Week. Along with Tanner Krolle, and under the local campaign umbrella ‘Artisan Chelsea’, Beaverbrook Town House will be the venue for an intimate lunch hosted by Tabitha Simmons, Creative Director of Tanner Krolle, on Wednesday, 11th May, 2022.
Ten lucky guests will enjoy a private Japanese dining experience, whilst delving deep into the history and craftsmanship of British luxury travel trunks, before having the chance to create a personalised leather gift of their own to take home.
