Three Mile Beach is offering you new Seafront Feasting experience this Spring
Blissfully hidden among the golden dunes of Gwithian, Three Mile Beach is an award-winning coastal collection of 15 luxury beach houses in the heart of West Cornwall, which launched last year with a sell-out first season. Offering stylish self-catering with a difference, this spring will see Three Mile Beach launch a new three-night Seafront Feasting experience that celebrates Cornwall’s abundance of fresh produce and allows food lovers to experience the region’s thriving gastronomic scene away from the busy summer crowds. Your highlights include guided foraging, a ‘Cook & Eat’ session with a local private chef and a distilling masterclass with famed Tarquin’s Gin.
After checking into to a spacious three or four-bedroom beach house, you will be greeted with a traditional Cornish cream tea and hamper inclusive of the finest local produce and everything you need to cook up a storm in the comfort of your well-equipped kitchen. In the afternoon, spend time exploring some of West Cornwall’s best off-the-beaten-track hikes and nature trails, before ordering food from Three Mile Beach’s outdoor open-air restaurant for dinner. You will be treated to Cornish takes on street food favourites, washed down with a choice of locally distilled gins, fine ales, creative cocktails, or a soft drink at the on-site drinks bar. Alternatively, you can opt for an exclusive private chef experience in the comfort of your own beach house, choosing from a five-course tasting menu or a Three Mile Feast.
On the second day, following a gentle stroll across the beach to locally loved Godrevy Beach Café for breakfast, you can join award-winning author, cook and foraging tutor, Rachel Lambert for a guided foraging tour. Over the course of the morning, you can learn more about Cornwall’s wild produce, how to identify edible flora and fauna, and the nutritional value of local plant life. You can then take their foraged ingredients to a nearby cookery school to join local chef, Rupert Cooper, for a Cook & Eat session, creating a bespoke feasting menu using the ingredients foraged that day. An immersive cooking class will offer you the chance to put your culinary skills to the test, whether that’s prepping fresh fish from the daily catch or kneading dough for flatbreads, before enjoying the fruits of their labour over a sumptuous supper.
For those wanting to make the most of exploring Cornish hotspot St Ives in the quieter season, Three Mile Beach’s knowledgeable team are on hand to assist with reservations for the region’s most popular restaurants and cultural delights, often fully booked throughout the busier summer months. Gin-lovers can opt to try their hand at a two-hour distilling masterclass at Tarquin’s Gin School; or those who want to head off land can take to the seas with Blue Fin Charters for a range of fishing trips, from family-friendly mackerel fishing to full day private charters for the more experienced. Come evening, you can return to the comfort of your beach house for a fun-filled evening of pizza-making on the wrap-around terrace with an Ooni pizza oven and DIY pizza kit; or on Sunday’s, a chef made roast can be delivered straight to your door, to be enjoyed in front of the log-burning fireplace.
